Ingredients
- 1–1.5 lb large shrimp, peeled
- 8 tbsp (1 stick, divided into 2, 6 tbsp) butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine or broth (Sauvignon blanc)
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 1/3 cup chopped parsley
- Freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon
- Linguine pasta
Instructions
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper
- Cook pasta, set aside
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter
- Add garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute
- Add shrimp and sauté until they just turn pink 2–4 minutes; set aside
- Add wine and bring to a simmer. Let wine reduce by half, about 2 minutes
- Add the rest of the butter
- Add in pasta, parmesan, and shrimp and combine
- Stir in the parsley and lemon juice and serve over pasta
