Garlic Butter Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1–1.5 lb large shrimp, peeled
  • 8 tbsp (1 stick, divided into 2, 6 tbsp) butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or broth (Sauvignon blanc)
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 1/3 cup chopped parsley
  • Freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon
  • Linguine pasta

Instructions

  • Season shrimp with salt and pepper
  • Cook pasta, set aside
  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter
  • Add garlic, red pepper flakes, oregano and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute
  • Add shrimp and sauté until they just turn pink 2–4 minutes; set aside
  • Add wine and bring to a simmer. Let wine reduce by half, about 2 minutes
  • Add the rest of the butter
  • Add in pasta, parmesan, and shrimp and combine
  • Stir in the parsley and lemon juice and serve over pasta
